This course is fully online, and can be completed individually.
The course consists of exercises, instructional videos as well as a number of slides, along with links to relevant external resources. 

This course will teach you how to:

1. Structure a scientific paper and how the background plays a key role in all other aspects of the paper
2. Conduct and structure your background research in a systematic manner
3. Compare papers and synthesize the literature into new knowledge and identify research gaps
4. Write a precise and critical background section
5. Improve your written English for scientific publications

The course consists of 5 modules, followed by an exam.

The course will take approximately 6 hours to complete.
